Sports Massage can assist the recovery of a person suffering from both old and new Sports Injuries and help rehabilitate. I will assess your injury and carefully consider the options for you and your recovery. This will usually start with the provision of sports massage for relief of pain, along with a programme of regular maintenance and rehabilitation massages, exercises and stretches.
If you have been referred by another practitioner, such as a Physiotherapist, GP or other, please bring along your consent or referral letter for my records. I can visit you at home if you are in a lot of pain and unable to travel!
Injury Management
No matter how new or old your injury is, with careful planning, management and structure to your treatments you should see huge improvements to your pain levels, flexibility, strength and health of your muscles. Managing pain through Sports Massage, Connective Tissue Massage, Cryo and Hydro Therapies during injury management can be a huge relief to the injured party. Many exercises and stretches can be added to your normal routine and sports massage can be added to any exercise plan to aid healing. It is important to keep the rest of the body fit, supple and well whilst an injury is healing. Sports injuries can be managed from when they happen acutely, or later on when they are chronic and remain a problem sometimes causing other issues within the muscle-skeletal system.
